Sunnydale School

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The school boundaries at that time extended from Puget Sound to old Military Road on the east, from Des Moines to the south, to South 128th on the north. The teacher was a Miss Jonas. The City of Burien opened a sport court for joint community/student use, and speakers told of early years at Sunnydale. The Pioneer farm museum set up a group of displays in the gymnasium for students to sample how things were done many years ago. They could try their hand at grinding grain, work with metal and observe how early students in Highline dressed for school. In the hallway former students could visit classrooms and booths set up by local non-profits, and enjoy a large photo exhibit installed by the Highline Historical Society. More than 30 people signed up to have their early memories of Sunnydale School recorded.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
