Threshold Fine Art Note Cards
by Judith Rayl MD PhD

As a stroke survivor, physician, and bearer of the complex legacies of ethnic bias and generational trauma, I am driven to share repair and wellbeing through art. My Threshold series foregrounds resilience and transformation, both in Nature and in our personal journeys. These fine art note cards center on my abstract images. The photographs are raw, organic heat maps of Nature, employing no post-capture alteration nor AI.

Threshold celebrates unknown, overlooked, and forgotten landscapes. Roadside wildflowers, dormant grasses, trees seeking relief from a crowded canopy, all are given grace and dignity in this work. This series offers a statement of sensitivity to our escalating climate crisis, while acknowledging our shared experience of damage and reclamation.
