Oral Histories

Oral histories bridge the gap between written historical record and individual experience.

The Highline Heritage Museum has long recognized the value of capturing gaps in the written record, preserving firsthand recollections of the individual in his or her own voice,  enriching scholarly research, and adding new depth to the history of Highline.

To date, the museum has created more than 250 oral histories. All complete transcripts and selected footage are available at the museum archival collection.  To suggest an interview please contact us at curator@highlinehistory.org.

Note: The entire list and contents of our oral history collection is being added gradually from our previous website.  Bear with us – or better yet, volunteer to give us a hand posting almost 275 of them. Thank you!
