DESCRIPTION:WE are excited to share a big update with our museum family.  \nWe are in the process of purchasing the property next to us\, and our offer has been accepted. This expansion will allow us to better serve our growing community. We are currently working to secure funds for the deposit. \nAs many of you have experienced\, we’ve reached capacity during events and are limited in space for collections\, programs\, and gatherings. This next step changes that. \nYou’re invited to be part of this momentum: \nSilent Auction – June 5 | 6–8 PM (at the museum)\nJoin us for a lively evening filled with unique finds\, local experiences\, and a few surprises. Enjoy live music\, snacks\, refreshments\, and time together as you explore and bid. \nHighlights include: \n\nAlaska Airlines tickets for travel anywhere in the U.S. and Canada \nAdmission packages to museums across the Puget Sound\nCurated local experiences\, gift items\, and more\nSome items will only be available the night of the event.\n\nYou’ll also experience a special pop-up exhibit on the history of Olde Burien\, connecting the story of our museum to the very land we hope to expand into. \nSpecial Guest Speaker: Lei Wang\nOne of fewer than 100 people in the world to complete the Explorers Grand Slam—climbing the highest peak on every continent and skiing to both the North and South Poles. Lei began her journey with no athletic background and went on to achieve one of the most demanding feats of endurance and leadership on Earth.
